I run a recording studio for a 4 years right now and do audio profesionally longer than that and I wanted to have the best knowledge and skills on mixing and mastering that is possible to get. I finished 2-years audio school in 2015 and took many expensive online courses later, I was also Mix With The Masters and URM Academy member but none of them teach what Andrew teaches and none of the methods which I knew before is giving as incredible results as Andrew's. His knowledge just beats it. His approach is very scientific, logical and straight to the point. You can apply his teachings after each class immediately and practice new skills on your own to become much better at this craft. I'm not gonna lie - you won't be incredible mixer just by this knowledge and you will need to spend time actually practicing and mixing a lot of songs to acquire this knowledge fully and understand everything on a deep level. But his honesty is priceless and the truth which he's telling is what will make you 100x better at mixing and mastering. It even funny to see how people are teaching mixing music on YouTube right now, it seems like a bad joke haha. I highly recommend taking Andrew's course for everyone who is serious about audio - it doesn't matter what level you're at right now. I thought that I know almost everything and wanted to add the last puzzles to my knowledge and skills but the details that Andrew is providing in the course are making a huge difference in everything I'm doing right now. It was a great decision to take this course. Can't wait to see the next class!

I've been taking his classes and I've spent money on other courses before, I don't lie when I say this is different, I like his personal authenticity and the passion he thrives from when he teaches us, he teach us on the course almost philosoficaly, is that in every case in sound engenireeing there is pros and cons, goods and bads, he tries to be real and open your eyes about an infinite subject and he teaches you every little nuance, so don't miss the classes, also because very each class sums up to the next one so stay focus. I really think this saves you a lot of years (the other classes I took was from music producers with 30 yo more or less but they don't have and idea compared to this man)

Just opened a Video and Production Company in Belize after I took the course. First of its kind in my small country. I am eternally grateful for Andrew's course.
The Audio Engineering world is saturated with teachers who teach some principles and a whole lot of settings… AND THEN… there are rare fathers and pioneers of Audio Engineering who not only teach principles but they activate the hearing and intuition of their students, giving them the skills they need to always know what to do in any situation and why. Even at my 4th month into this 9 month course…This is exactly what I have seen and experienced in Andrew Zeleno and his unique and powerful course. You will be amazed as this course De-mystifies many of the secrets that took great engineers decades to develop. All the myths and common misapplications of techniques will be exposed in great detail as your hearing becomes trained and opened. This course has truly been well-tailored to cover every area of audio engineering you will ever need. Home works are given and checked, being compared to the top reference mixes of all time. Best of all, this course is at a price point in comparison to buying a piece of gear or 2 for your studio. Hard to beat! You will not be disappointed!

I've gone to the 2nd best college audio program in California and I feel I learned wayyyy more in your class and at a much higher understanding.
You teach how to approach the sound, and really understand your tools. But you also cover important factors in the production side, and you learn to recognize problems from the production side that will never give you A+ results wayy ahead of time.
Ultimately, your class saves a HUGE learning curve. I started engineering 8 years ago, and i learned why certain things i did worked, solidified theories and processes i had, was made aware of mistakes I made, why I made them, and how to correct them.
Im not even done with your class yet and i feel I have a much much much better understanding of sound 6 months later.
I will most likely end up taking this class again because its THAT GOOD!
If anyone's on the fence, do it.
Sometimes he even gets carried away and accidentally makes 2hr long classes go for 3-4hrs, but straight dropping knowledge on you. You dont even realize its been that long and you get mindblowing information.
Great instructor, definitely extremely knowledgeable in his field, information you wont even learn in school - period. At the very least, cut your learning curve by years vs. a college curriculum.

I’m currently a student of Andrew and it’s a lifesaver. My mixes have considerably have gotten better since I started taking his courses. I have relearned many things that were taught to me the wrong way or incomplete from other courses, books, or YouTube videos.

This is amazing... just so logical and well thought through by Andrew with his many years of experience in the field as well as his ability to teach from his experience.
I am a current student of Andrew's.....just over half way through the course. This is my first formal training in audio engineering. Andrew's course is built on his knowledge and experience and has totally changed my approach and practices in mixing and so many other aspects. He gets right into the bits and bytes of audio.. studio setup, microphones, compression, EQ, panning etc AND so much more....it is a complete education. Truly a game-changer for me!

Review: I would be totally lost if had not been taking this class. I have learned so much about my plugins that i own and was totally not getting anything out of them compared to what I can do now.
2nd review: this class has shown me so much reality and as a person who has taken many years trying to learn through books and youtube this class has already shown me more practical application in two months. AZ's videos even make more sense since I started the class and that's the reason i decided to try course. Really excited about the whole process of learning this way.

Review: That course was really what I was looking for!!! 😀 Very interesting from the very first lesson and as it was advancing it was getting better and better. What I especially liked was that Andrew teaches not only theory but he shows the nuances of the devices on examples of other mixes. 😎 During the training process, we received homework that allowed us to put in practice what we learned and especially it was exciting that I could practice on my own mixes, which Andrew checked and pointed out all mistakes. This is truly full course, after which is no need to study something else! 🎸🎵 I was so impressed that in the middle of the course I bought all necessary equipment and began to fully work on mine own mixes . After about 1 year practice I achieved good results. Here is one of them: https://youtu.be/eT8ipXpV27I

For me this course is a blessing. Only 5 month into and I already feel like I can beat some of the "pros". I realize most of the productions nowadays are still amatuer mixes. I feel like I leave everybody behind me who doesn´t participate the course. It is no normal course that any random mixer can give you - you will understand if you participate. You can imagine it like that - before I started this course I basically had no idea what I was doing and especially I had no idea what really makes the difference between a real pro and a amatuer mixer that just claims he is pro (I saw so much Bullshit) - now I just found something I can rely on in every situation. No more words needed. Total gamechanger.
2nd review: The course is just awesome. I can't imagine that there is anything comparable. Genius structure & so deep knowledge that you just feel comfortable to tell what professional mixes suck at - also I know how to improve it any time. Big thank you to Andrew Zeleno - the guy who gives this priceless knowledge to guys like me for such a good price!
3rd Review after the course: I have a thought about the course that I want to share. The course is awesome and brilliant because it´s the only real way to become the best you can get. I totally think it´s like that and that´s why I would tell everybody that there is no ohter course in the world that can do the same. I couldn´t be more thankfull about the oportunity you gave us. Even without checking any other course I would still promise that you can´t find anything comparable in the whole world. You´re amazing. Thank you so much! I´m so happy because I see everything working. I develop so fast only because I know exactly how to fix issues and so on. You´re a legend in my opinion.

'the ugly truths', 'pros/cons' and the small 'nuances' that get overlooked and can seriously slow your improvement and spoil your mix. i can't say enough great things about his course and we still have 3 months to go! I feel like Ralph Maccio in the Karate Kid with the wax-on/wax-off training that results in a cobra kai killer audio engineer i plan to be! thanks AZ for the insights and great information in a fun and informative fashion.
2nd review: You should experience the full force of an entire course of information by Andrew. We are always blown away each and every class with eye opening information, tips, nuances and ugly truths...we cut through marketing and learn about the tools, techniques and underlying principals of audio engineering. I'm excited for each and every class and immediately apply everything i learn in my mixes...the difference is massive. If you love music and you are interested in audio engineering, i can't say enough great things about Andrews course. Thanks again AZ!

this is just great. "punch lines" are happening on the course two times per week. If everybody just knew how great yesterday's reverb course was. Mindblowing!!
2nd Review: Since I'm attending Andrew Zeleno's course I realized it is more important to invest money in studying audio engineering because it is important to get knowledge and with the knowledge, your ears will get on a level that can be trusted in any situation. And Andrew Zeleno is really an A - Z teaching. We spend a few months on panorama and compressors, now we are digging into the EQ topic. I mean I heard one Youtuber the other day who was attending a very famous music school and few years after he finished school he was recording drums and he used the Gate and said this is the first time he is using it???? I mean, I was studying some courses before, but I don't think that people in the industry is analyzing also the system on how to teach students more efficiently. Andrew is doing exactly this, with no bullshit data and playing smart just to take your money and not to care about your results. He is checking your homework live, in front of all the other students, so you can also see the mistakes others made. I mean like 10 to 15 people homework checking sometimes lasting for 3,5 hours. I mean, this is the first time I'm hearing about this, the first time I'm attending this, and the first time I feel that I'm really understanding audio!!

This course is amazing and absolutely for everyone. At first it was a tad slow because I knew a lot of those concepts, but I understood small details even on the foundations which I wasn't aware. After 7 months I learned more here than in my last 3 years amateurish mixing and watching lots of videos online. Now after learning many mixing topics to the greatest possible detail I find that a lot of those videos actually give you bad information and practices.
I started taking the course because sometimes I felt like I wasn't sure what steps to do next in the mix. His course is based on learning not only what, but why you do things. Although to get better you really have to practice, I no longer feel self doubt, if I'm doing things the good way or the best way possible. I think that's the greatest gift in this course, to know in detail all topics from mixing to recording and mastering such that you can do your best and feel confident that you're not falling into any pitfalls and are in the proper path. All that's left now is to practice!
Additional review (in the end of Alberto's 9 months course):
The last two months of the course are being A-MA-ZING, just thinking of the last two reverb classes, can't wait for the remaining ones, they were a game-changer.
I never even thought one could go so deep on this topic: it's not just picking the appropriate reverb, but using physics and psychoacoustics principles to tune every little detail of the reverb, from spectrum to stereo width, shaping dry signal, early and late reflections individually for the best sound.
If you want, you can make your mix so that you can close your eyes and believe the band is playing live in front of you :)

Great Course
Very sharply lectured by someone with real world experience, concise and very direct. Clear and structured sequence of units covered, concepts, experiences and knowledge. Well thought timetables schedules, compatible with nowadays students "round the world" mobility. Undoubtedly a fast way to gain or at least to "touch" a wide range of areas in the audio engineering world, only possible to achieve after several years of experience; so yes, it provides in a short time a huge advance in time.
2nd Review: Dear Andrew. It has been virtually 8 months since I have finished the course with you and I must say that after six or seven new jobs, the difference in results is huge. I would like to thanks you on this great course that I strongly recommend to anyone that wants to not only improve skills, but also acquire a sharper perception on audio details. It was definitely a life changing decision for me. Keep up the good work.
Bonus from 2020: I strongly recommend the course, it is more than worth and affordable and it will definitely change your life and mindset towards audio production and mixing..
Additional review under the other video: Thanks Andrew for sharing all this knowledge with us. I strongly recommend the full course as I guess it will be life changing to anyone as it was for me. Keep up the good work !

In March 2020, I graduated from Andrew's course. Before thiscourse I had been doing music and recording for 15 years, but I twisted theknobs blindly and at random, not really understanding what I was doing. After this course, everything changed, and I began tounderstand sound engineering "from the inside".I managed to mix our album to such a level that everyone wholistens to it cannot believe that the mixing was done by me, in my “home studioon Cubase”. These people are even ready to believe that our album was mixed onanalog consoles in the best studios, the best sound engineers in the world... I recommend this course to everyone. Thank you Andrew!!!

If you feel suspicious about all the comments praising the course instead of discussing the video like I was 8 months ago, don't be. This channel is Andrew's way to reach out to his potential student, so he asks his current students to write a couple of words. The videos serve more as educational bonus.
Seven months into the course, starting from the very beginning, I can say that the course is worth every penny and minute I have invested. Before the course, I tried to get an idea about mixing from the hundreds of sporadic videos on YouTube. As a result, I hysterically threw plugins into the inserts of my DAW with no grounds other than hope that they make some wonders. Sure enough, they did not, and I ruined multiple songs.
The content of Andrew's course is opposite to sporadic (partly that's why it's so long). It is well-structured, covers a myriad of aspects from the very basics (often undeservedly neglected even by experienced musicians and producers) to advanced. The course provides a good theoretical basis spiced with several (within the seven months it has been four) home works where you can try and get checked by Andrew what you have learned. The homework analysis is public, so you can see not only your work, but also the projects of your group mates and learn from the sessions not less than from the lectures. The course mostly covers sound mixing, but interestingly some of the aspects prove to be useful in other aspects of music, e.g. in practicing the instrument.

The best and the most serious audio course you will ever take, im so proud i have taken this course.
Rare nuances are in every Andrews class every minute, and you start thinking like a real serious audio engineer not just doing stuff because someone in youtube did. Its an incredible course.
2nd Review: This course is absolutely game changer, you learn to think like a real audio engineer, why and when to do or not do someting, you learn all the different tools and how to take advantage of each, when to use each, how to pick a compressor, how to pick an EQ from different EQs, not just using all the time the same plugin with same preset in every mix and without really knowing what is it doing just because someone famous told you. Its the best course i have made in my life so far
3rd Review: Andrew teaches you how to think as a real audio engineer, to make your own decisions not based in other people´s presets or thoughts, he teaches you all the nuances, things i never realized before, and his program includes stuff you dont find in any other course, like very deep integration with SSL gear and plugins. The program its very complete, i have friends who are attending courses at university, 20 times more expensive and still they tell me they dont learn as much as Andrew teaches you. Also you have homeworks and you can make questions in real time, Its the best course i have ever made.

every class sets off a new light bulb of understanding. So excited for the next class. (review given in the middle of the course. Took 2020 course and 2 months of 2021 course additionally)
2nd review: April 27th marks the first class I took with Andrew as well as the start of my transition into becoming a full time mix engineer, something I had truly never believed I was capable of.
Before Andrews class I had no interest and no faith in my abilities as a mixing engineer. I had an amazing skill in producing muddy, flat and just generally shit mixes. No clarity or presence, drowned vocals, mushy guitars, flabby ass boring bass with the character of a wet rock. To say they were amateur might be giving them too much credit ahhah.
I've been teaching and recording myself since early 2006 and in the short 4 months that I have been in the class I've seen marked improvements in the quality of my mixes that surpass almost everything I tried to teach myself. Songs I had recorded, mixed, mastered and released over a decade ago have been given new life and quite frankly I am embarrassed of what I've put on the market to date. The class is so good that I've pretty much stopped releasing anything all together until I finish the course in February. It is truly that drastic of a difference.
In the information age that we all reside in it is very very VERY easy to get side tracked down a rabbit hole of misinformation and Andrew strives to absolutely destroy these myths. Andrew's experience reaches as far as being a 3rd party QA tester for beta releases of major brand name plugins to judge their sonic quality and has no time for confirmation biases. If your product does what it should, thumbs up from Andrew, if it doesn't "IT IS SO TOTAL BULLSHIT." It is SO refreshing to have a teacher that tells it how it is instead of the participation trophy Californian nightmare education system I have access to in the San Francisco Bay Area. BUT it should be known that Andrew is incredibly helpful and willing to explain things many times because he truly wants you to understand the subject at hand.
I have a good chunk of music theory / history classes under my belt but don't have any formal recording training but I have a friend who went through a now defunct recording college and he is seriously impressed with what I have been learning. Even the videos of Andrew's that I have shown my friend have blown his mind. Particularly the video on using a side chain for a gate on a snare using a doubled track delayed by milliseconds as an alternative to the look ahead parameters found on modern gates. I've used this technique myself and its amazing. Finally an acoustically recorded snare that POPS without the annoying "TISH" of cymbals bleeding through on the tail of the note.
The classes are done on Skype and take anywhere from 2-3 hours, but it never feels stale or boring. Andrew is constantly introducing new techniques, smashing old falsities and making the class comical and entertaining. Truly a master of analogies when it comes to describing the sonic characteristics of various audio production tools EX: Comparing the attack and release curves of a compressor to a submarines dive and rise to explain exponential and logarithmic compression curves.
I've said it several times on many of Andrew's videos that I am blown away by the improvement of mix quality i'm getting, so much so that at the end of the class I intend to post a video showing how I mixed my songs 10 years ago compared to my mixes after completing Andrew's class. Talk is cheap but I'm willing to air out the dirty laundry that is the muddy mixes of this producers past.
Take the trial class, get your ass handed to you then join the class and you'll thank me later. Promise.

I'm a student of Andrew's course and after 7 months I should say that choosing this course was one of my best decisions. If you prefer to receive all information about sound from A to Z, to know not only how to mix, but how all your tools and plugins work, this course is for you as well. I appreciate Andrew's opinion about all main modern plugins, especially without any marketing promotions from his side. (the review was given on 7th month of Mishka's group).

You wonder if course is worthy?
I am in a half of a course and I can doubtlessly say that it is.
The knowledge, the passion of Andrew, The effort to explain properly things is priceless! You won't find anything like that on YouTube or internet. And trust me I have lots of digging through Internet.
So if you still wonder if it's worthy just try trial class because since that I knew it is. (The review was given in the middle of Lukas's course)

I’m currently enrolled in Andrews course and I have to say he knows his stuff!! :) Great course , learning lots.
Andrew has a vast knowledge that he shares like no other. He’s gone to great depth to research and analyze the inner workings of audio and the processes that are available to us for manipulation .
And he’s able to explain it clearly and concisely .
5 months into the course all I can say is it’s money well spent :) (the review was given on 5th month of Oisin's course)

Egor is taking the course for the second time and here's his review:
I am glad I did myself that favor and attended Andrew's course, because it saved me a ton of money and time.
His systematic lectures building a structured knowledge in your brain, which you never get watching those tutorials and plugin comparison videos. No BS here, just on the point knowledge! Thanks, Andrew!
2nd review which was made in the middle of the course: I have been waiting for three years until I finally got the place in his group and now, half through the course, I defenitely can say it totally worth the waiting time (which may not happen if you are lucky). So, if you get chance to have a room, do yourself a favor, apply asap! This awesome video shows only a tiny bit of what you can learn by Andrew in his course, but by those tiny bits, structured in one hybrid system, you will be light years forward in skill from who you are now! If you watch tutorials and tips on youtube, you will never learn how to mix, becuase one structured course makes it all clear, and hundreds of randomly picked vids just confuse you with integrated ads mostly. This guy is honest and straight to the point.

I've been attending Andrew's Course for the past 7-8 months now, and I am amazed at the level of growth I've experienced, especially when I look at my own mixes. From the very beginning, Andrew has a no-nonsense way of explaining mixing techniques. There were many things that I used to believe in prior to attending his course (such as using AI mastering plugins, and attenuating every resonant frequency possible), although now I take a more methodical and attentive approach to mixing by listening and applying changes where necessary. Super excited to see what the last couple of months have in store!!
Would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to up their game :)
The 2nd review: I produce psytrance and attend Andrew's course. One of the most eye opening parts for me in the beginning is that no matter what music you produce, psytrance, or rock, or pop, the ways to get a good sounding mix are essentially the same. The knowledge I have already gained from this course, tbh, I don't know how many months or years i wouldve spent before realising some of the ideas and technicalities that Andrew explains.
Would recommend to anyone, well worth the time and money

Andrew's course is excellent value for money and his in depth knowledge and ideas are invaluable. His style of teaching is to the point and precise and even if you are an experienced audio engineer, this course will no doubt clarify many ideas as well as bust several myths surrounding audio, recording, production and gear. I've been in this course myself for over 6 months and it is absolutely an invaluable experience. You will really learn an immense amount of information which you can practically use in any given situation. Do yourself a favour and instead of buying more plug ins and gear, invest in this course as an essential foundation which will help you build your own arsenal of ideas, approaches and mixing philosophy.
2nd Review: Andrew Zelano's course is packed full of in depth features, concepts and also several popular myth busters regarding audio engineering in general. I've engineered for 25 years and there is so much invaluable information in Andrew's course, that it's ridiculous. His style of teaching is precise, informative and he wastes no time in getting to his main ideas very quickly. I am 4 months into this course and I believe it is very very powerful because it will challenge you to rethink your decisions about audio, mixing and mastering. Best use of my money ever for sure! Thank you AZ for a tremendous service and for your invaluable knowledge, sir.
3rd Review: As an engineer, studio owner & producer with more than 2 decades in a music biz, I started this course after seeing Andrew's videos on YouTube. Even for experienced engineers, this course is going to be truly eye opening because mixing is explained in a synergy based approach, with considerations given to not only the technical aspects of recording, but more importantly, the holistic aspects of the song. Andrew's approach is unique because his deep study & years of painstaking attention to each detail, ensure that this one of a kind teacher and his one of a kind course is going to be INVALUABLE for engineers and producers at ALL levels!! There is literally no other course which comes close to the level of detail & the unique methodology Andrew shows you through this 9 month course.Highly, highly recommended.

(Graduated December 2020)
This guy (Andrew Zelano) was the first person I ran across on YouTube who seemed to be no bs and actually said something useful, and with no marketing other than to tell you about his class, which is, in a word, the best class that has ever been taught by any living being in the entire history of the universe, and is also cheap as hell--I mean ridiculously cheap for all that you learn from him. He doesn't make it super simple to join his class--I mean it's easy, but it's not one click and credit card like most things on the internet. You have to email him and check out his class before joining. I believe this is to get rid of people who are not serious, but who knows. If you ARE serious and want to go to THE PLACE to learn audio engineering--I mean REALLY learn audio engineering, with NO IN-CLASS MARKETING or UPSALES or any of the other bs that everybody else is always doing these days, then this is THE CLASS TO TAKE. PERIOD. No nonsense, no generalized statements of how to do settings or what plugins or equipment to buy--just the real deal from a guy who loves this stuff more than you love your mama, down to the tiniest detail, with examination of alternative methods, which every scholar knows is mandatory (man-DOT-ary, as he would say in his charming, elegant accent) if you want to really learn a thing.
But seriously, this isn't a magical method of making music sound good. If you want that I've got some beans and midwest beach property I'll sell you at a steal. This course is like a college course, minus all the testing and pressure that makes those kinda suck. This class is for learning exactly what is going on with audio at a technical, yet very understandable level, so you can make your own "method" if you want, although he does give you sort of a template, bit by bit throughout the course, for sort of a default method should you choose to just do it the lazy way.
Bottom line: If you are serious about mixing, audio engineering or production, just do it. Now. Before it fills up and you have to wait another year. I had to wait about 6 months, and that really sucked since I had already attended the trial class and knew that I was missing pure wave brained genius delivered in a super cool, very easily understandable, KGB agent / Russian Mafia accent. But if I had just pulled the trigger when I first saw one of his videos, I would not have had to wait so long while ruining mix after mix, smashing tens of dollars of perfectly good equipment, and punching nuns in the face in frustration . . .
Don't be stupid like me. Do it. Now. Or else you will end up kicking handy--uh, whatever the word is now--children in their faces while waiting in frustration, filled with regret and mourning for all the lost time at being an audio expert, which, like all past time, is time that you will never get back. You will want to hunt me down--no, not for that nun thing---to thank me. You know, for the totes amay-cray, long-printed, basic salty (which is hip lingo for "down to earth") advice. I promise.
Don't do that. That's not cool, what's the matter with you? Oh, right. You haven't had the class yet, I remember how stupid I was before . . . .

This course has totally changed my approach on mixing. You help me to save time by teaching how exactly to use the tools in my tool kit. Learning the truth about plugins and their going in depth about their harmonic content is total game changer. 10/10 recommended.

I am currently attending my third month in his mixing course and I am very happy that I found this course to improve my skill for working with audio. For me it has helped me understand why we do certain things, instead of just doing them because some famous mixer said so. I have had several "a-ha"-moments in the course, which is great! I highly recommend Andrew Zelenos mixing course!

Andrew Zeleno is in my opinion a very good audio engineer with a wealth of knowledge in the field, with the necessary studies, many years of activity and can give detailed explanations with details. I am happy and fulfilled that I am part of Andrew Zeleno's courses, there are courses in which you learn a lot about the studio that you can't find at other audio engineers. I recommend with confidence !!!

I attend currently to the course and I have to say that if you want to learn how to mix in a professional way you must attend this course. Basically don't waste your time (like I did during a year) watching all possible videos of some mixing trend channels or reading blogs on the subject because most of them (obviously not this channel) do not teach you in a good way, when you try to do the job on your projects they don't sound right. I also have buyed several other courses online where the instructors teaches in a way and at the end of the day you didn't learned anything properly. This is one of the reasons you should choose this course, Andrew teaches you in the good way. He teaches you the why of things, how the parameters of audio works and how to manage them. So at the end of the day you will have a framework of knowledge that you will can apply to every situation related with audio. Also he teaches in a very clear way so everything is easy to understand(I had basically very little idea of mixing before entering the course, only beatmaking ).
So basically don't waste the next 10 years of your life watching random internet stuff because you won't learn anything properly and you will continue to struggle with your mixes, pay for quality.
In fact you will pay only a bit for some huge knowledge

I'm currently enrolled in Andrew's class and the amount of useful information I've learned in the past couple of months is staggering. He really knows how to teach the fundamentals of audio engineering and turn that knowledge into real skills that I now use every day. He shows you the core idea of how something works, not just some plugin that makes something sounds "more" better. Andrew is a real strait shooter. He is really good at sorting through the "bullshit" and show you if something works or not and why. And if he doesn't know for sure (which is not very often at all), he will say so. On top of that, the price of the course is an absolute steal considering all the things you learn and gain from the class. I highly recommend it for anyone that wants to get serious about audio production!

Andrew's EQ topics have been a game changer for the quality of my own production. When I started your course I thought I had a pretty good understanding of Audio/Audio Production but quickly learned how much I was still missing. The best part is you equip all your students with the tools needed to keep developing and practicing in the future. When you listen to Andrew you can tell he is someone that is passionate about audio and really loves what he does. That mentality and mindset he has is refreshing and infectious making you want to learn as much as you can. Keep it up Andrew a true guru 👍

ANDREW ZELENO COURSE REVIEW: Currently a student taking weekly classes w/ Andrew via Skype for about 3 months now. Like many others, I came across a few of his videos in my interest of diving deeper into the technical side of music production in general. Having just finished a year long program in LA (Icon Collective), I felt the need to take what I learned to the next step and familiarize myself with the elements of audio engineering. It took maybe 2-3 videos before I was pretty sold in terms of Andrew's knowledge as an audio engineer, primarily because I had already scoured through dozens of videos on similar topics, and amongst those, his seemed to be the most clear cut and accurate in terms of facts and examples provided. Fast forward 3 months later and I can honestly say these classes have been well worth the money. Very affordable, which was a huge relief to me. The amount of information learned, actual RELEVANT and USEFUL info, nothing sugar coated or fluffed, simply the most important aspects regarding every single element that comprises of audio engineering, has been massive. I think the most valuable aspect of the course is that he shows us the disadvantages of every plug in or technique discussed, so that we can learn as future engineers to make choices not on what plug ins are "the best" and flouted as a "must have", but to be able to examine a line up of compressors and determine which of the bunch has the fewest disadvantages for the mix down or production we are working with. This eliminates a great deal of uncertainty or "blind" plug in usage that would end up ruining the mix entirely. Really looking forward to continuing these courses and I definitely recommend anyone who is on the fence to try it out at the very least. He offers a free class as a trial and you can get a feel for how things will be conducted. There's my honest review.
Sincerely, Chris Zizi

You got normal audio engineers/Teachers who are ok (Nothing more or nothing less) AND then you got Andrew Zeleno. Andrew is the Audio Engineer that (still after 20 years) eats - drinks - breaths - dreams about Audio and Special Approaches and New Techniques. In his courses you feel that he REALLY wants to pass-on his knowledge to the next generation. He wants every student to be as addicted and passionate as himself. This video is again a good example. He is concerned about some misleading plugins and he wants to share it to everyone so that we all can get better Audio Engineers. I recommend his course to everyone who is seriously involved with Audio !!!!

I`ts my 8th month in the course and I don`t regret a second of what I`ve learned so far, wanna thank you Sir Andrew for the no bullshit approach that you have taught me, I seriously feel like a serious audio engineer now after fooling around on the internet for more than a decade, it was super easy to just pull up a video on you tube and try to learn things for a specific task, but man you are unbelievable Sir, thanks for the dedication passion n patience you have with us, I have purchased many a course to learn online before, but the way you teach needs to be rated number 1, incredible is an under statement for this course, how on earth do you have such a vast ocean of knowledge Sir? anyone out there who is searching for a no bullshit approach to sound engineering? I`d seriously recommend you have to be in to believe all the little nuances you will ever get in audio engineering, but on this course. Your definitely my Audio Guru Sir Andrew.
2nd Review: You are an unbelievable , skilled and patient teacher, you`ve made me realise the bullshit iv`e been programming my mind with, every second that i spend with you on the course makes waking up at 5 am worth it, your extra ordinary skills and insights have taken my learning to a different level, a big thank you to you, as i accidentally stumbled on your channel, cleared my doubts after taking the first initial free class on this course, I had to even wait for months before you could give me a slot, but there`s no turning back now, I really marvel at your patience when you teach us, you never care about the time of the classes, a 1 hour class for 2 and a half hours sometimes, lol!!!!! sometimes even i get restless but you make sure you finished what you started, I`m really blown away by the way you have put all this together, everything you say herein is the truth, can`t wait to finish this course as a proud student and apply all this knowledge. thanks and cheers Sir Andrew

I am taken Andrews Class and it has been very good. I did not have a full understanding of how to work with reverb and why you need to have many many options for reverb plugins. One of his main theories is to always consider the EQ effect of any process - for example if you have a darker audio track then you can use a reverb with a brighter tone to help balance it. Or how to consider damping, diffusion, and all other elements of reverb. It is really an amazing feeling to be able to know what I want instead of guess what i want when it comes to working with reverb. And that is only one of the topics - compression was the biggest game changer for me.
2nd review: I am taking Andrews course and it has been awesome for helping me with dealing with how to use plugins- You can make alot of mistakes by setting them up incorrectly if you do not know what you are doing -, i.e not understanding proper gain staging that is needed for proper emulation of harmonics, by having poor automatic gain compensation, difference in metering, and just understanding where things can go wrong - it has been a huge help

Before I started the course I had no idea how important this stuff is, I thought I'd just research 'the best compressor', 'the best EQ' buy those and be done. Of course now I know better, I get to know how all these plugins really work and when it's appropiate to use them and I didn't have to spend years testing them myself and racking my brain so that's great, thanks for sharing your years of experience!!
2nd review: I came across Andrew's course through his youtube videos and doing it is the best decision I ever made. Endless knowledge Andrew has and shares in his course. The in-depth look into many of the nuances of of this plugin is a prime representation of how he teaches. Coming from someone who is in the midst of his advanced course, I can tell you that his deep dives into topics, objective analysis and experience driven insight regarding all pros and cons and "bulsh*t" of many products and methods, are just some of the huge benefits of taking such a well laid out course, with a seasoned veteran like Andrew.
The amount the course has changed my understanding and approach towards all things audio is mind boggling, and has lit a fire for learning I havent felt since first learning guitar. If you are serious about learning and becoming a true audio engineer, this course is probably the best, deepest, perfectly structured, while still being relatively affordable, course you could ask for. I get excited every day I have a class and I would recommend it 10/10 times.

I enrolled Andrew’s course over skype a while ago to improve my audio production skills. I have live sound engineering background for about 15 years and now I really wanted to advance in studio production. What is the most valuable about this course imo is a proper approach to recording and mixing. I consider myself a nerd of audio so it was a relief to see Andrew is indeed as well. He loves what he does and really knows more than you expect. So far my goal is to finish the course as I have couple of months left but even now my studio mixes improved. I love a live comparison of my mix to one of the greatest mixes professionaly done by industry leading engineers. I hope everyone signed to this course would fill gaps of production knowledge that keep them a few steps from professional mix.

I’m an ex student of Andrews course and it’s fantastic. He won’t teach you presets he teaches you how to think like a professional audio engineer. In terms of eq Listen first, then decide what you need to change. What Andrew trains us is how to think like an audio engineer. Before I started this course I did not understand what I needed to get to with a particular tool. Now I’m thinking way before I pick the tool. Then I listen and if it’s the wrong tool I change it until I get the sound in my head, this is no different with limiters. The guy is a pleasure to work with, but don’t expect him to say your mix is ok if it’s not, he will tell you it sux, but he will train you to understand why. That is priceless. All the best Stu.
2nd Review: You think you know Audio basics and they once you start Andrews course you realise that you have gaps in your knowledge. Don’t be fooled though this course so far goes into every detail and Andrew explains every step. The course is well organised and Andrew doesn’t allow you to try and run before you can walk, every topic is organised so that you build up your knowledge and the homework’s are designed to ensure that you embed the skills. Homework’s are reviewed and you get to see your mistakes and not only does Andrew show you how to make it better but he explains why your settings are choices were improved. The group size is small and manageable so you always have the opportunity to ask questions and Andrew always takes the time to answer questions. My mixing skills hav3 already improved since joining the course and I’m only in month 3. I’d give Andrews course a solid 9/10 so far. The only thing I’d suggest to make it better would be for Skype to have stereo sound, but hey that’s not Andrews fault. Great guy, great course I’ll be sad the day my course ends! The course: Exceed my expectations, It has everything I needed from the plaining stages of the project to a fully mastered song, each class is clear with not waste time and the course is thoroughly planned with spontaneity when required but not improvisation, you know the objectives of the class in advance. The visuals that Andrew uses to convey the information are priceless and the listening exercises help me to sharp my ears in this 5 moths more than in my last 15 years, now I can hear very clearly thing that did not even imagine of.
The teacher: Andrew has everything I want from a teacher, a wealth of experience and knowledge and the will to share it, the capacity to create interest in the students with his contagious passion and enjoyment for his profession and the most valuable of all is that “Andrew is a natural teacher” who can turn complex and difficult subjects into simple and understandable ones.

I had never mixed before taking Andrew's class, and I have yet to feel confused about anything we are learning. He goes into depth about every topic from the ground up, explaining how things work without leaving anything out. I've already gone from knowing basically nothing to understanding how to set up projects (bit depth/sample rate) and bounce tracks - approaches for arranging/panning - setting up a studio and monitoring - how compressors function, how to set them up, the difference between certain models/brands and what instruments to use them on - and now we're getting into both EQ and recording, and the class isn't even halfway done. I'm sure I'm leaving things out as well, as we've already covered so much. I'm really glad I happened to find his class and I don't believe I would get this level of practical instruction somewhere else. It's a very good course.

Andrew's class is excellent. He's a great teacher who can explain both the technical details and the overall goals really well. We're only about 4 months in and already my ear is more refined and aware of what it hears. Some of the best parts for me are: meeting in skype with real people, the homework checking for real feedback, and the comprehensive amount of material covered. I also like that Andrew explains a lot of ways to do things and encourages you to be in charge of the decisions you make. I'm very happy with the results so far and I highly recommend taking his class.
The only downside is that I'm starting to realize how shitty some of my old mixes were :D ...but at least now I know why they sound bad and how to make them better.
Thanks Andrew.

As a music writer I started this course to be able to create better demo’s for song ideas. The classes are divided per subject and every subject is taught on its own with homework assignments. Previous subjects are combined with current ones and gradually i work to a broad understanding of a mix, recording method or plug in/tool.
Andrew’s approach is very dry and analytic. Absolutely no fluff about it.
In the classes (2 x 2 hours a week) he trains your ears into finding small changes in sound. In the beginning i could not hear much difference, but he challenges me to use my ears as a microscope. Focusing your hearing. After a few months i really started to pay attention to details i was never aware of. It’s great to learn about compressors and Eq’s, but what makes these classes most valuable for me is the change in listening to music, sounds, etc... I start to hear harmonics, resonances and artefacts which empowers me to shape my own recordings better than before.

I am currently at the middle of the course and I can say that it taught me so much so far.
I would say that I were at a intermediate level before this, I knew how to process tracks, but somehow, my mixdowns weren't as good as the commercial releases by far. I was in a continuous process of learning stuff from YouTube and other online courses, but I felt that none of them taught me something solid to take me to another level. And I hated how most of these courses are, where sound engineers just open an already mixed session and present settings without explaining the concept behind their decisions.
This is where Andrew's course is different. He explains concepts, plugins, how things work in order for us to take the best decisions at a given situation.
I was surprised to hear stuff that werren't presented anywhere else. Stuff that nobody talks online about.
And almost everything that I already knew was relearned, because as Andrew demonstrates, the Internet is full of contradictory misleading and/or incomplete information. No wonder my mixes werren't that good after all these years of learning!
Andrew has an incredible experience and I think he had almost any position you can think of in the audio field. He also likes to do all kind of audio tests during his free time so he will deliver some information that you can't hear elsewhere.
So, all good words, but how did I applied these?
First, there are homeworks to do, Andrew check them in front of everybody and discuss what is good and bad.
Second, I tried myself some experiemnts with what I learned so far, and I can say that my mixes dramatically improved!
I also started to recognize a lot more bad quality mixes in many contemporary indie music.
I can't wait to learn all the topics within the course and start experimenting more and redo a good part of my old mixes! I wish I did this course 5 or 10 years ago!
I can just strongly recommend this course for whoever wants to seriously be in the music industry, either as a mixing or mastering engineer, music producer, beat maker or independent artist.
Thank you Andrew for this awesome course!

After twenty years in the Audio business (Live Mixing/FOH Engineer/Monitoring) I wanted to get my hands on studio work and it is another thing compared to the live business. They are quite similar but there are some big differences. So I started to watch videos, reading books, reading forums etc. but things would not get better. One day I saw this video on youtube from a guy who claimed that he makes the best audio course on the internet and my first thoughts were: Yes, another one who knows everything better BUT after a trial lesson I could not believe what I had learned in 1,5h! I never met a guy like Andrew. His unique approach to explain you Audio is so simple and effective that I really could not believe it. At the start I was a bit skeptic but after the first class I could immediately implement the things we learned in classes and all my work in the studio (also in LIVE business!!!) started to evolve and it still keeps on evolving! His patience with all students is another big benefit. I always had the feeling that I could ask anything even if it has already been discussed before. And believe it or not the "old-school" approach of pen and paper makes a HUGE difference in understanding things: Write it down and you won't forget it! Watching Videos, reading books, watching others how they work is really helpful BUT it does not replace the one thing that really takes you and your mixing skills to another level, a level where you can build up on your own and gain your own style, and that is what I experience in this course: Andrew is a true mentor! I absolutely recommend this course for anyone who is interested in studio mixing, recording, mastering etc. Simply said: The best online course which you can find! WORD!!!! Tobias Schneider

I found Andrew’s YouTube channel while looking for tutorials on the web. When I saw his first video, I knew, this man knows what he's talking about, but the most exciting moments was when I found out he does online classes. I immediately enrolled and boy, he didn't disappoint. This man breathes the craft, he knows plugins to their core, he knows famous practices and has many practices developed by himself, that are often more intuitive, effective, and correct. If any of you decide to enroll his course, my advice is - don't just enroll for what you think will be useful for you, learn everything he teaches you. One of the most unique things about his course, is that he checks homework with his students. You will find almost no online course that does that in a serious manner. If you don’t know much about Audio Engineering, you will go from zero to hero in less than 9 months (the duration of the course).

Extremely valuable, in depth course that taught me how to use DAW plugins with a purpose and see the expected result. I don't
guess at the outcome anymore; I know what to do now with EQ, Compressors, De-Essers, and virtually all audio tools. A very in depth, but
general approach to mixing and engineering. My mixes sound far better now than they ever did before. It would have taken years of
failure and bad experience to get where I'm at now. Use Andrew's vast experience to get you much further down the road. Much better
than simple, random videos you can find on YouTube... you won't find this thorough level of information anywhere by random Google searches. Highly recommended!

What makes Andrew's Audio/Music Production Course better than most other courses is that you will learn not only "what" to do, but also exactly "how" to do it AND "why" to do it. In this way you can develop your ability to take a real engineering approach, and your ability to make good decisions/judgments about the mix/production. Also, Andrew covers every important topic - from phase alignment to song arrangement.
And you get the opportunity to practice these skills with direct feedback on your results from a highly skilled expert.

Andrew's class is... absolutely the extraordinary. It crushed me that I had to stop classes about a year ago but I enrolled again and it's even better this time around. He is honesty the best teacher that I've found when it comes to mixing and production and I truly admire his straight forward approach. He's my "Audio-Hero". The BEST investment I have ever made in my music career.

Hi Andrew, I just want to pass on some early feedback about the course. I really appreciate the details you go into and how you explain each of the concepts. I'm loving it and I look forward to each class.
20 years ago, I studied for 18 months at SAE (Sound and Audio Engineering College) in Brisbane and have been working with audio ever since as a hobby. I haven't really been getting anywhere with my audio quality though, but sometimes I would fluke it.
I revisited an old mix that I thought was good at the time and listened to the compressor settings. They sounded awful. I changed compressors and settings like you've taught us and the difference is amazing. Now I'm beginning to hear the subtle nuances you're teaching us to hear.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge mate, it's very much appreciated at my end.

Hi my name is Paul Patterson and I own a small home based production and mixing studio on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
I have previously studied audio engineering at world wide school that cost over $14000 and wished I had found Andrew before I spent so much money.
I took Andrew's course because my mixes continued to suck and I watched one of his online videos on compression and it really helped me, also the price of the course is so reasonable that I had nothing to lose.
We are at the half way point of the course now and not only are my mixes better but my whole approach to mixing has changed for the better also.
I highly recommend this course if you are serious about getting better mixes.
Thank you Andrew, you have helped a lot.

Hey Andrew, absolutely, I think your course is the best thing I've come across on the internet (and I've come across a lot..) so giving a review is easy:
"I wish I had taken this course when I first started getting into music making. In just a matter of a couple months of the course I feel I have progressed several years worth of music education. There is so much knowledge packed in here, that it has something for everyone involved in music production at any level. Awesome teaching, looking forward to every class. Cannot say enough good things about Andrew and his course."

Testimonial : Andrew's Mixing and Production Course, i think is the best approach for wholesome learning experience of not just technical & theory but most important the vibe/feel element to convey catering what the song needs. He stresses this aspect and teaches in that perspective uniquely. Also discussions of history of the field, demystifying myths of industry, unnecessary publicity of equipment and false information. Am really glad I came across this, as in art field, I believe as student we require teacher and a mentor as well who teaches in creative wholesome approach glueing all topics like mixing, mastering, sound design etc and Andrew is the one for me. Refer everyone to seriously look into and learn this course for real.

Also I have classic education from music school, and play piano as my first instrument and guitar as my second. never did anything in music production or had any education about it before your course. Honestly this course just great. I don't think there is another like that anywhere else and i really mean it. I think even Chris Lord-Alge could not pass on that knowelege like Andrew Zeleno does. For the course and his knowlege I don have nothing to say except its extraordinary. And I think that thare is no course that can match this one.

The most professional course I’ve ever found.
I’ve learned everything related to audio engineering, from A to Z, and I felt the difference from the beginning of this course.
It even changed the way I arrange my songs.
Also I liked the methodology of this course and how andrew’s ideas are ordered and the progression of all topics.

Newer review:
I don't usually give five stars in a review. Five stars represents perfection, and purchases are rarely without some measure of disappointment. However, occasionally I buy something that perfectly suits my needs, and so five stars are in order. Andrew Zeleno's home study audio engineering course was exactly what I was looking for at a price I could afford. And, because his school was virtual long before COVID made everything virtual, I didn't even have to leave my home.
Audio engineering is "engineering," that is, it's complicated. But Andrew breaks down overwhelming concepts into elementary terms one can understand and apply. The theory and techniques he teaches make audio engineering easier with practice. His review of homework and student projects reinforces learning and aids retention of knowledge. Even though audio technology has advanced and changed since I finished Andrew's program in 2017, the fundamentals I learned empower me to assimilate and grow as technology develops.
I have always had original song ideas in my head. But never could I get them to sound good when recording at home, not until I completed Andrew's course. Now, I am frankly amazed at how much my audio engineering skills have improved. Listening to my own original ideas blooming from my speakers is incredibly satiating. This is a great joy of my life that Andrew has helped me realize. Everyone who aspires to produce music should feel as such.
Thus, I highly recommend Andrew Zeleno's audio engineering course for anyone serious about perfecting their sound.

I am four months into the nine month course.
Two things I love:
1. Andrew’s lessons help me see how to fix problems that baffled me in the past.
2. Andrew does such an excellent job of selling me on the fact that I can become an engineer via his course, that I believe him. It's wonderful to be connected with a talented instructor that I know is helping me.
3. After more than thirty years of home music production, finally I see myself soon having a truly professional sound. How wonderful!
I highly recommend Andrew Zeleno and his Audio Engineering Course.

Seen one video of Andrew teaching, and I instantly knew this guy is not “bullshiting”, I could see and hear the stuff he was saying about music recording and production, and all were very logical to me and he said it all with a great confidence and a great knowledge.
I am now a student for a 3-4 months and I love it!
I was right about Andrew!

Im really enjoying the course, its packed full of helpful information about audio engineering. It's not just a mixing course, it's so much more than that. It's a deep explanation into the world of audio and all the tools you would need to be an audio engineer. Reviewing both my own work and other students work is really insightful and beneficial in understanding how to improve and hone you skills. The online classes are very well carried out, it feel like your in a real world face to face class. Classes are fully interactive with no stone left unturned, it's very impressive. Paying monthly so good unlike other courses out there. I'm only three months in to it and loving every moment. Being a total beginner I saved myself about a decade of learning curve by mostly accidentally finding this course. Over a year, Andrew gave us not just the tips and tricks of "how", but also the deeper understanding of "why". Although I am mostly interested in composing, knowing all the areas of music production lifecycle is a huge benefit. I particularly enjoyed those little "diamonds" of know how which one discovers only after working in the industry for years.

I first saw Andrej while randomly looking through sound engineering videos. I liked his lesson – it was clear, fundamental and funny – and I thought it would be worth learning from him. However, it was a pity to know he lives in another country but nonetheless I e-mailed him. He replied he holds a full 9-month online course. The price was more than affordable, so I enrolled. It went even better than I thought! I’ve been to some courses before – both off- and online, and I say Andrej is wonderful instructor. The knowledge and skills I receive make me much more confident and involved in sound production.

Andrews approach to music as a job, offers the most in-depth view on all aspects of sound. The way we think of music/sound may very frequently be different from what is actually happening in the real physical world. As seen on this video, he approaches sound from the real physical side, so you can understand and interpret what you feel/want to guaranteed results so you don’t get stuck when you want to achieve a particular goal. I was always looking for a scientific answer for what I feel within the music that I like, and from my experience, his course is exactly what I was looking for. It often means a lot of your perceptions will be broken down, so you can built new knowledge on a steady and proven foundation. This way you can tackle any situation that comes your way in music production/mixing/mastering.
Cant suggest this course enough. It is widely applicable from novice to seasoned pro and you always learn something new.

I started this course in December and have got top marks for my mixing projects at university because of it. Andrew's teaching method is amazing and very easy to understand. Each class is packed with knowledge and you really start to see how to use all the mixing tools properly with the pros and cons that they have. The compressor topic is gold! Understanding the settings and how different models of every compressor works differently with their own coloration, really helps you decide to pick the right one for the job and hear what it's doing to your sound. It's a deep dive into everything audio. Best mixing course out there!

This is so valuable content! I can only advice everyone who would like to get his mixes and knowledge elevated to take the course, it's really affordable compared to all the rest we have to spend our money on and I already spent unnecessary money on certain plugins which I think I would not have bought again just through the knowledge thought in his course. I am 100% convinced there is no school, class, course which comes even close to what Andrew teaches. I've watched so many top level mixing engineers with multi platinum mixes out there who don't even know a percent of what Andrew teaches. And you know what? At this point they might not need it, cause they have so good ears and experience they just learned how to work around it and achieve the sound they want, but for anyone with less then 20 years experience and multi platinum mixes it's very very harmful to adopt their ways. We just throw some cla 76 on our vocals and just don't know why they end up being too thin. His topic on compression alone is priceless and I already know so many of the mistakes I done and why. Guys, don't fight with your mixes and start just taking his course. It's only 9 months and very intensive. I watched the best mixers in the world doing the craziest shit with their plugins, emulating and adopting from them is really nothing but harmful. You just end up mixing and mixing and fighting with the results till you end up spending more on shitty plugins which don't improve anything. I fought with these esses and sibilance in German language for the last couple of years till Andrew came and just thought us to increase the range and work with threshold on that damn pro ds. Man what we learned so far is really really valuable stuff. You can't get that from books and will never learn that from any mix engineer out there. Especially not from top level mixing engineers with hundreds of billboard placements. Think about it. Do they or even you really take the time to compare every single one of your 100 compressors and understand and learn there nuances? Compressor is eq. What? Why have never anyone thought about that before? Which one tightens the instrument, which one makes it fatter, warmer, darker? Which one emphasizes sibilance and saturates it, so you'll fight with them for the rest of your mix? Oh man how many hours have i spent, cause I didn't know a single nunace of these? Greets to waves. Love you Andrew! Keep up the good stuff!

I can't recommend Andrew's audio engineering course enough. There's quite simply lots of practical and useful understanding, insight and knowledge that I've not seen covered anywhere else. What I've found most useful is he teaches the principles and the "ugly truth of audio" so you get no hype no BS, just what works. I mean, who else covers compression models so that you can learn and appreciate unique audio colouration? Who else dives into studio set up so you're informed of what specific frequencies need to be managed? Who else provides their own unique methods and techniques and models so you don't get confused on frequency distribution of instruments and fundamental tones and how compression and EQ affects transients and tails and its result in the mix? It's 20 years of audio experience packed into a no holes-barred course, which even has a live student homework check of mixes done on Cubase. Many have said it already, there's more than 3 years university knowledge packed into this 9 month course, and I'm just starting month 6. Do yourself a favour, if you work in audio or are passionate about sound, join Andrew's class. You won't regret it.

I’ve been attending classes with Andrew since December. He has introduced me to mind blowing techniques and concepts. His class and his intellect have helped me to comprehend sound and music on a whole new level. How industry engineers achieve their results is no longer a mystery. He has broken sound and mixing down into sections. When you start to understand these sections as a whole, a new understanding and proficiency becomes second nature. My mixes have speed up by 50% and I am not even applying all of the techniques I have leaned. This course has been hands down the best investment I have made as an engineer! Andrew is the real deal and he lets go of information the others hold onto. My son and I have benefitted from our investment into these classes. I am getting more work and making better results. Andrew Zeleno is hands down a mixing guru of which I’ve never seen.

With AZ,you just don't learn about what to do, but why and what best options to go with. It’s the best investment I’ve made so far for my music production/engineering journey. I started out in 2018 and I know for sure this class gave me a 10 year head start. AZ goes over compression, eq, models, nuances of each model, techniques, studio setup, and so many more topics. Andrew really knows what he’s talking about when it comes to audio engineering. I would say he’s a genius in this field because his knowledge is through the roof. Just follow, apply and practice for yourself and you’ll start to notice improvements in your mixes, or start actually deciding in what plugins would work best in certain situations. Thanks Andrew, looking forward to graduating!

money well spent.
I've spent countless hours watching YouTube videos, reading articles, reading textbooks, and playing with plugin presets. They're all fine and good for learning the basics, but what Andrew teaches (he mentions this at the end of the video) is the knowledge to understand what to do when the basics don't work. Why are things going wrong? What can I do to fix it?There are plenty of videos of amazing, experienced audio engineers demonstrating how a certain technique or plugin sounds amazing on their perfectly recorded source material. Guess what? My source material is NOT perfectly recorded (trust me!). As a result, I've always struggled to make it sound the way I want it to.
On this course I'm finally learning the true basics. What does a compressor actually do? Which one should I use? What are the differences between models? What are the differences between plugins? The same for EQ's, gates, limiters, every audio engineering tool in the book. Every class is a deep dive and I've learned something new in each one. From basic stuff like how panners work (I thought I knew!) to deeper stuff like how difference compressors affect harmonics.
I recommend you try a class. This course has helped me no end and I'm sure it would help you too.

I'm about 13 years into part-time music mixing/engineering etc. and I now see/hear/approach mixing in a completely new and exhilerating way, I've experienced the power of AZ's tools in my current mixing work, and it keeps getting stronger. I cannot recommend this course enough, it's a bargain for the amount of knowledge/wisdom it equips you with. Additionally, AZ's teaching style/approach is inspiring. I've taught guitar for +15 years and sharing knowledge is a passion of mine. AZ's ability to get you from A -> B -> C ->->-> Z (hehe) is masterful. Basically, if you can, take this course.

Instead you get a very analytical dissection of different tools and approaches. The course is very detailed and comprehensive, touching on several topics that go beyond the scope of usual mixing courses, like homework checking classes, arranging tracks, setting up the mixing enviroment, comparing nuances of different plugins, etc. Andrew guides you through all of this brilliantly by providing very intelligent and sometimes quite funny explanations to make even the most complex topics digestable. It's a great course, no frills... no 'artistic flare' like using weird words to describe sound, no 'audio magic,' everything is scientifically defined. I knew plenty about music production before taking AZ's course, this really filled in the gaps i was missing on the engineering / mixing side.
If you feel like there are gaps in your knowledge, or maybe things are fuzzy because there are so many contradicting 'experts' out there giving info which doesn't match the next expert...
Skip all of that, sign up for AZ's course, and thank him and yourself after.

Well... it's hard to give feedback for the course with few words. I was always good especially when working live with the sound, but the course helped me to improve myself even further. It filled the gaps in my knowledge so now there is no more "shots in the dark". Now I can not just identify that there is a problem or an area that need improvement, but I can identify exactly what is wrong and I have the knowledge to change it and achieve the result I want. So personal advice - just give it a go. Get a free class and see what is like, I don't think you will not enroll after that.
I read A LOT on the topic and yet for the past several months I have learned more than last 15 years and even more important - now i know how to implement all of that in my sound...
I had expectations about the course...
well - it surpassed those and Its not finished yet :) So Thank You Andrew, it's been amazing journey so far!

Andrew's course is literally one of the best things that has happened to my music. He teaches you EVERYTHING, from every single nuance in most used plugins and tools, to studio set up, every single processor, microphones, etc. He goes through every single topic you need to know to have a professional sound and some stuff you don't even know how important it is until you learn it. He does this in the most detailed way, going through every single nuance, and application. Most importantly he teaches you how to hear, what to listen for to make an informed and purposeful decision, he takes you by the hand and shows you what it actually means to mix. He is a freaking genius, his scientific approach to mixing is so smart. I've never gone though a 2.5 hour class and at the end be sad that its ending, every single class you will learn SOOOO much with real examples and great detailed explanations that just make sense. Stop wasting countless hours "learning" from clickbait videos from people that tell you that some plugin sound so good when they don't even level out the output lmao. Its insane how much you will learn from this course, I'm still going through it and every single week I keep learning insane amounts of valuable aplicable knowledge. It's a no brainer, it's worth every damn penny and the best thing is that it's supper affordable for the amount of value he gives. You wont regret it

I have to say, it’s some of the best time I’ve ever spent. Although I've only been mixing for a few years, I wish I'd started here and not wasted so much time searching for the "needle in the haystack."

Spent past 15 years learning mixing and hit a brick wall then heard Andrew bragging about how good he was 😄 at teaching. I thought ok if he thinks he's that good let's test it. I tried the first day and I could see the depth he was going to take me to.
So glad there's a guy that's worthy of how good he says he is. This is incredibly deep and he has probably forgotten more than I know. Be warned there's No BS with Andrew, he's a machine when he teaches. Get ready to learn so much!
Thankyou Andrew for being the real deal.

When I first joined the course I barely had any idea on audio engineering. few weeks through the course I started to understand in depth about the real audio engineering. Andrew makes you think and act on your own and not be a sheep in the modern audio market. His style of teaching makes you think and be critical of yourself. Spoiler Alert ! there will be a lot of MYTHS BUSTED in the course....Embrace your eye brows..

Andrew’s course has been absolutely eye opening. At some point I was doubting myself and believing I wasn’t understanding the information fully. However, every time I work on my projects, I can feel myself getting better and having a sort of confidence that came from Andrew’s lessons. The way he portrays himself in his videos, is the exact way he is in teaching classes—professional and diligent. He’s patient and tries his best to get you to understand the information he lays out for you. Completely worth the money and one of the best decisions I have made for myself and my career.

I found Andrews class last year and signed up for the full class after attending a sample class to check it out. I'm so glad I found it because the class has been unbelievably important for my understanding of audio engineering and music production. I am constantly shocked at how incredible the amount of information is. I have been producing music for years but was never satisfied with my audio results and couldn't understand what I was doing wrong, but now I know. Andrews class taught that I learned a lot of fundamental concepts incorrectly as well as a ton of myths about plugins and concepts that wasted my time. I wish I could have found this class years ago when I first started, it would have save me so much time and especially money, I cant recommend it enough.

I love the way you explain things, everything chopped down to the smallest detail and easy to comprehend. This was my best investment for the past year and my highlight every Tuesday and Friday evening. The information is so vast, fundamental, but most importantly, so well structured, that anyone can understand it with no effort at all (If my fiance, sits around me and just listens for few more classes - she will be doing the mixing LOL ). I really enjoyed all the classes, they are an eye and ear opener, they have taken my mixing to a totally different level and I would recommend them to anyone, that wants to develop as an audio engineer, has interest in how music is done, e.t.c. Keep up the videos, because when the class ends, I would still follow your content and channel!

The whole approach is learning to understand. Imagine the amount of information you get with Andrew explaining audio, recording and mixing concepts for 4 hours a week (sometimes more) during a period of 9 months...

Andrew is like the only human among all the teaching robots that just repeat themselves and feed us with nonsense (majority of) to kind of control the business and their finances. Albeit having no time to properly educate myself I input this energy to change my bad habits in general (physically and mentally) with various activities. I'm not saying I'm as good as Andrew, just having an eye for details and "perfectionism". Overthinking, laziness is a bad combination, eventually, they support each other if not reduced appropriately to your condition. There is no perfection, you can always improve things even so slightly. Everything in the World goes hand in hand and that's what Andrew is unconsciously teaching you if you've been lucky enough to register. Success is no other than discomfort and the resting period will be that much more pleasant.

I am fully convinced that out of all the resources I have come across before ,there has not been any audio production course that is as awesome as Andrew's. He helped me answer my golden questions which are : What, when, how and why is something going on. Now I can push and click on those buttons with knowledge and confidence. One word for real, AWESOME!.

Andrew’s no bs approach to Audio Engineering is mind blowing. The amount of growth I’ve gone through as a student is truly amazing. His classes are so informative, going deep into the subtle science of audio production. He literally leaves no stone unturned . He is very engaging, patient and also very funny. A fantastic teacher!!!

What I like about Andrew´s course is that you learn to think critical about audio by yourself such that you don't have to copy the “pros” or rely on templates and “legendary” tools. Everything is logically explained with advantages and disadvantages. And because you will understand all the fundamentals, you can verify by yourself that the advanced techniques Andrew teaches make a lot of sense, too. You save years and years that you would otherwise have wasted poking around in the dark.
